Happy Hanukkah: The repetition in this CoordinArt design is helpful when moving into practice with all four quadrants of the Cartesian Plane. The half-way points used become predictable for students as they make the candles and flames.
Santa: Santa Claus is also known as Saint Nicholas, Father Christmas, Kris Kringle or simply "Santa". Many cultures know him as the legendary figure who magically leaves gifts for good children late Christmas Eve for when they awake Christmas morning or similarly for December 6 (Saint Nicholas Day). Saint Nicholas actually evolved from Nicholas of Myra (or Bari), a saint and Bishop of Myra (or Bari) who had a reputation for secret gift-giving, such as putting coins in the shoes of those who left them out for him. Therefore, Saint Nicholas was originally portrayed wearing bishop's robes. In modern times America’s Santa Claus transformed into a plump, jolly, white-bearded man wearing a red coat with white collar and cuffs, white-cuffed red trousers, and black leather belt and boots. Although he has a similar image to the American Santa he known more as Father Christmas in the United Kingdom and Europe .
Christmas Tree: The evergreen tree has long been a symbol of Christmas. It is decorated with Christmas lights and colorful ornnaments in preparation of Christmas. An angel or star is most often placed at the top of the tree representing the Christmas angels or the star of Bethlehem. Many believe the Christmas tree tradition came from Germany. Even though the song "o Tannenbaum" has an English version, "O Christmas Tree", it is the German version that I prefer hearing due to teh memories and family traditions it provokes for me.

Santa's Elf: The elf is a fictional, fun character who lives with Santa at the North Pole. The elves work all year long making all the toys for Santa to deliver Christmas Eve. They also tend and care for the reindeer. The busy elves always seem to make people smile.
Santa's ELF-Q1: $3.50
Dove with an Olive Branch: Doves have been the symbol for peace and hope for thousands of yeas worldwide from the Egyptians and early Greeks and Romans to the Chinese. The Bible introduced us to the image of a dove with the olive branch as it signaled to Noah that the flood waters had receded and new life had begun. Picasso was asked to create an image for the Peace Conference after WWII. His Dove of Peace was a hit and continues today. Many events worldwide where love and peace are emphasized will have doves released into the air.
Poinsettias: Poinsettias are also known as the Christmas Flower. They come in red, pink or white and are a quick, easy way to make any room festive for the Christmas season.
Angel: Gloria in Excelsis Deo!
